ppl "here"

Lets c how BAD they r first--then we ll go to the GOODs
1. NOT innocent at all-MOST of the ppl r taking advantages on others. They do not ve SIMPLE thinkings.
2. x sympathy-when u really are involved in some SOI accidents or wateva, even if u scream for help, you can't be sure that ppl around will come to you and help you out, SCARY rite, if this is to happen in Brunei, everything jus will turn another way round.
3. Daring-more daring in many ways(performing themselves, doing SOMEthing, etc)
4. Ignorant-yes indeed they r, but they ve to, in order to protect themselves-(we r given a talk when we first came to d college--HE told us to ignore the person when a stranger talks to you, no matter what he/she is talking about, or maybe asking direction to some place, cos THEY ARE TRYING TO DO SOMETHING ELSE, walao~ I was reli kinda--HUH? y do we ve to b like dis? no wonder ther r so LIL helpful ppl in KL...
5. Looks down on ppl- If u happen to not know how to speak cantonese(in most places), SHOO off! the interaction level will drop, especially when you go outside. In college, it's still quite okay lar, but I was thinking if I m gona work here in the future, maybe I need loads of time to adapt to this new environment. In addition, ppl who r DAMN good in english-speaks fluent english, grew up in eng env, haha, they don feel shameful of themselves, instead they look down on ppl( including me) who have chinese standard better than english. In short, they DON feel proud being a chinese. And now its MY turn to look down on them. F*ck off BANANAS!崇洋。。。ceh!
6. 2 b cnued, wana sleep liao* time in this blog r al wrong one--*it's 2am now

Hmm... interesting... But thats to be expected from the people in big cities, lol... Thats why its always better to stay in Brunei even though its boring...
Everyone keeps complaining bout Brunei being extremely boring(especially my sis), but when you compare the moral standard with other big cities which has more entertainment, Brunei is still a good place to stay and have a normal life, rather than having all the entertainment and FAN NAOs in a big city... So everything usually balances out itself, when theres good, theres always bad...
And remember to take care or urself, don sleep so late ah... To scare you: Sleeping late makes you fat... HAHA!!!

brunei is a great place.
no kidding around really.

its a close knit community
furthermore, u never feel out of place la. hahah at least for me.

btw sis.
maybe every1 from a different social background, and every1 jus don find any1 around is trustworthy
thats y there's so much insecurities around..

Btw, to the english dominated society, its inevitable..
blame the western domination.

Anyway, the capability in the language will really aid u in a lot of ways, but seriously..
i still tink its the confidence that really determines.
abt the speaking ability
as long as u convey ur message well
and ppl can understand what ur trying to explain.. then its all cool
For me, its just about how
Just make sure ur well prepared in the things ur going to accomplish
it can built up the confidence within as well.

But then,
i m not handling it extremely well
but getting the hang of it.
cos if u never try,
u will never gain right?

Yeap, everyone know that Brunei is a great place (not sure since when, but nowadays, when I ask people, where are they going to study after A level, mostly would say no idea. Most would agree that they would say that there's no other place like brunei, and etc). Problem is, when you're god damn boring here, you'll start to dream about going abroad or something, it's human nature, we always long for something which isn't ours, and when it's ours, we don't appreciate it, so duh right? @_@

Anyway, like what KuiChuan said, those personalities are expected from people in big cities. They need to protect themselves. In KL, there's alot of bad people, disguise themselves as good/kesian people, so you people need to watch out. (not trying to make you into a 'cold' person, but well, sometimes, the society is more evil than we thought it is) Just be alert.

About the mandarin-english thing, that's more or less how I feel when I first came to Brunei (actually my real resentment started when I step into A class..), but after so many years, no more la.. xD
